Well the summer holidays are nearly at a close, and it feels only moments since they've begun. Which i am going to maintain is the reason that i have done so little with my time over the summer. First and foremost i would like to wish Adam Savin many happy returns on his 'Twenteenth' birthday. I booked a flying lesson today, take off is scheduled for 3pm on Saturday and my golly am i excited. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put me in charge of an aeroplane! Other than that i can't think of anything blog worthy on a personal note, so i shall segway slightly and turn my attention to the world as a whole. As you no doubt are aware the recent conflict between Russia and Georgia has dominated the headlines, and George Bush and Gordon Brown have both threatened Russia with the naughty step. I can't however understand why the fact that Georgia are the aggressors in this conflict has been overlooked. It also confuses me that "Great" Britain deems it necessary to stick its big colonial nose into problems that are nothing to do with it. In more interesting news, invisibility cloaks are one step closer to reality. A light bending material has been synthesised from silver and magnesium which really made me excited. One small drawback is the amount of material made thus far measures only...ready for this....one billionth of a metre, which isn't very much at all
